Privacy Policy for Kiri
Effective Date: May 2026
Data Collection
Kiri operates entirely locally on your device (client-side). We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information, browsing history, chat messages, or analytics data. Your data remains strictly on your machine and is never sent to our servers.
Permissions
Kiri requires certain permissions purely to function locally:
- storage: Used exclusively to save your local toggle preferences (e.g., whether Ghost Mode is enabled or disabled).
- host_permissions: Required to inject UI elements (like the download buttons) into the page and to intercept internal module calls and network state locally to prevent 'Seen' indicators and typing statuses from being sent.
None of these permissions are used to extract data from your device.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or remote logging services. Kiri is a standalone tool designed to protect your privacy, not compromise it.
